bark or fur?

you can tell by the colours that its a tree but the texture, exculding the focal point, looks very differnt to that of bark...

Taking photos today at lunch time and blurred the image in a really cool way so i tried to replicate the same effect, basically you half focus the camera on one point and then pull it back towards you as you click the button down and you get this zooming out effect that gives everything a fur like texture
